Who are we?

EXHIST is purely an Anglo-Saxon university institute, founded in 2019. We are duly authorised by the ministry of higher education in Cameroon and affiliated to the University of Bamenda, Cameroon by framework of a signed agreement dated on the 16th September, 2021 in accordance with ministerial order governing the operation of private higher education in Cameroon.

The Journey

How we got here

EXHIST began as a vocational training institution under the name Experiential Institute of Paramedical Studies (EXIPS) to train paramedic professionals, authorized by ministerial order 090/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/SACD of 22nd January 2020. She was later authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education by order number 20-0725/l/MINESUP/SG/DDES/ESUP/SDA/MF of 12th April 2020 to run professional HND programs under the School of Health Sciences. EXHIST later benefited from another decree in 2022 to train students in other fields such as banking and Finance, Computer Engineering, and hospitality management.

Mindful of ministerial order defining the organization and functioning of non-state owned university (private higher institutions); she is affiliated to the University of Bamenda for mentorship to run professional degree and masters programs within their academic jurisdiction.

We offer higher national diploma (HND), Bachelor and Master Degree Programs in different specialties under the schools of Business, Finance and Management, ICT and Engineering, Health Sciences, Tourism, Fashion Design and Culinary Arts, Legal Careers, and Postgraduate Studies.
EXHIST is authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Cameroon. The HND certificates are issued and signed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Cameroon. Following the rule stated by the government of Cameroon that all private universities be mentored by a public university, the Bachelor and Master’s Degree certificates are co-signed by EXHIST University, our mentor university, the University of Bamenda and the Ministry of Higher Education.

Our certificates are recognized all over the world. As such, our students face little difficulties in securing jobs wherever they find themselves.

Our HND programs run for 2years for non-health specialties and 3 years for health specialties. A one-year conversion program into a bachelor degree and the master program run for 2 years.

  • GCE A Level in two papers excluding religion (for those going in for HND programs)
  • Higher National Diploma or State Registered Nurse (SRN) certificate (for those going in for Bachelor programs)
  • Degree transcripts and Attestation from recognized public and private institutions (for postgraduate studies).

Online classes options are available for bachelor and master degree programs.

Bachelor and master degree lectures hold as from 4pm (WAT). Evening sessions are also available for HND specialties.

Fees can be paid in three installments and in some cases even more as negotiated with the school.

The quality of our training has attracted many international students from countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, Equatorial Guinea, and Liberia. Certificates provided by foreign students will be authenticated by the accreditation office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Cameroon against a cost on the student.
